Strengthening Partnerships for a Sustainable Belize

oday, Hon. Michel Chebat, Minister of Public Utilities, Energy & Logistics, met with Her Excellency Dr. Erja Askola, Head of the European Union Delegation to Jamaica, Belize, and the Bahamas, to discuss ways the EU can support Belize’s efforts in energy transformation and logistics development.

 

Their discussion covered key areas such as:

1. Increased uptake in e-mobility transportation;

2. Energy security, resilience and long term sustainability, with a focus on renewable energy.

 

Also present was the Ministry’s CEO, Dr. Leroy Almendarez, along with key representatives from both the Ministry and the EU Delegation.

 

This exchange reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering strong international partnerships that contribute to Belize’s national development.
